Location

Kumi University is located in Kumi District, North Eastern Uganda, 310 km 4 hours’ drive from the capital city Kampala. The main campus is found in Nyero Trading Center, 7 km away from Kumi town on Ngora road. Nyero is a noise- free environment, which is conducive for learning.

Kumi University is a community based non-profit religious institution operating under a provisional License No. UIP1002 granted by National Council for Higher Education. Kumi University was founded in 1996 by a Korean Missionary Christian couple as African Leaders Training Institute (ALTI). ALTI soon grew into Kumi University in 1999.
